Hypenica owns the B2B platforms Cape Business News and Bellcrescent Partners.
Hypenica was founded in 2012, and has incubated a number of events during its existence, including the African Construction Expo, Totally Concrete Expo, Cape Construction Expo, KZN Construction Expo, Ports Evolution Africa, Rail Evolution Africa, Ports Evolution West Africa. These events were acquired by dmg Events in 2018. It also established the African Agri Council and the associated events African Agri Investment Indaba and the AFTI brand, which were sold to Equitics Holding in 2020.
The founders of Hypenica previously launched a number of utility industry events and media products, including the African Utility Week, ESI Africa and Metering International. These products were acquired by Clarion Events in 2009.

Cape Business News, established in 1980 started as a monthly print newspaper and has expanded to also include an active news website, (www.cbn.co.za) and a variety of innovative digital media products. Cape Business News provides a window into the dynamic business environment of the Western Cape.
Bellcrescent Partners works in partnership with the African Agri Council to identify investable agri projects across Africa, and introducing these to the global investor community in order to facilitate investment and growth of the sector.
